Hi. I’m Bethany.

My husband and I opened our first short term rental in 2016 and I fell in love with creating spaces where people could feel at home even when they are away. I drew on my many years on the road as a professional musician, event planner and personal assistant to anticipate needs and dial in the details of what makes a guest feel comfortable and taken care of.

Over the years we added a second property and friends started asking if I could help with their spaces too, or if I’d be willing to talk to someone they knew who had or thinking about opening some form of rental property. I realized I love connecting with other hosts as much as I love hosting guests so in 2025, I opened Cottage Hospitality to help other Short Term Rental hosts best serve their guests through consulting and management services.

Music.

Before I was a Short Term Rental host, consultant and manager, I was a full-time violinist and still spend much of my time playing music. If you came looking for that, you’re in the right spot! In addition to touring and performing with artists such as Kelly Minter, Laura Story, Andrew Peterson, Jonathan & Amanda Noël, Point of Grace and more, I’ve also released two albums of instrumental music. “Songs From Along The Way: A Live Recording” was my debut record of songs I like a whole lot. “Hymns From Home” came out of a YouTube project I did during the early days of the 2020 global pandemic.
